A Peak at My Life

Life is a journey, and this is the story of mine.

So, here are the pictures from Seattle. These are the main ones, because they show the Space Needle and Pike's Market, which in my opinion are the highlight of Seattle. Besides Thune, that was the actual highlight of Seattle I guess. Anyhow, it was fun fun times, and I loved being able to just relax with him for an entire week.

Now to this week, specifically Thursday night...my computer decided to crash. Which is awesome considering I had 6 hours of a research project on it, and two papers that were due first thing Saturday morning. Needless to say, I shed a few hours worth of tears over that one. And, I hung up on my boyfriend over it. Stupid in hindsight, but hindsight is 20/20. So, I took it to Geek Squad, because really I'd die without my laptop. It is the reason that I'm able to get homework done, because I do it at work. I wound up paying $460 dollars to get it fixed. Luckily, I have an amazing boyfriend who understands that my sanity is worth that amount of money. I had to pay for the inital $200, but he chipped in the rest of the money. Again, he's amazing and I could never say that enough. It got him out of the jewelry part of the bet he lost, too. So, we both win I suppose. He said "Well, you do need the computer to finish school..." when I was thanking him profusely. I don't take handouts well, so I'm working on trying to be more humble about people helping me. It's not an easy thing for me to learn.

So, last night I went out with my friends, because Russell moved to Ames this week. It was like a going away party of sorts. If you can classify Ames to Des Moines as "away." We had lots of fun, I was driving, so I had a little less fun. It was good to hang out with my friends though, and overall it has been a good weekend (minus the HUGE amount of money paid). Next weekend I get to help Kevin babysit, and probably go see Angie and Ari in Ames, which will be good because I haven't seen them in a while. Angie is up at law school in Minnesota and Ari is in Doctorate school in Ames. Yay for advanced degrees. I'm working on finishing my bachelors without losing my mind.

Speaking of...school is flying by, which is awesome. I have a semester and a half until I'm a real nurse. I can't wait. That means I have to get a real job though, and a real house of my own. That part extremely excites me. I can't wait to get a place of my own again, beacuse there is nothing as liberating. I've slready started looking for home furnishings. Yay...

I'm 5 lbs away from my goal weight now, which excites me greatly. I'm sure it'll be the hardest 5 lbs of my life, but bring it on. I'm going to lifetime this time, because there's nothing better than Weight Watchers for free. Yippee...

And....Thune comes back in 2 months and 13 days from today. The countdown has begun because really, that's what army girlfriends do. He'll be back December 29th thru January 7th. We count down to seemingly silly dates to others. We live our lives by them though. It's the way to look forward to the future, and it helps to prevent us from missing them so very much.

Anyhow, that's all. Sorry to wait so long to update, I've been busy and had an overall lack of motivation to upload pics because it takes forever on my home computer. Luckily, my laptop is now wizardly fast, and basically brand new. And, I'm at school right now. That helps too. Yay for late night library visits to finish group projects. Have a good day all.
